What is the AI Angel or Devil Filter Video?
The angel or devil filter is the face test that comes back every October. Two meters float above your head, angel wings on one side and a red devil face on the other, the numbers race up while you pray and plead, and the winner takes over your face: a halo and wings, or red light, horns and a devilish grin. Upload one selfie and this template makes your clip.
The meter started as a TikTok face effect in 2021. The clip that made it big came on 4 October 2024: an Italian creator in a pink wig pleads with the meter, the devil side wins, the screen turns red and horns grow, and it passed 1 million views. A year later an "angel or demon filter" compilation passed 4.9 million views. In 2026 it moved to one-photo AI templates: a how-to from February passed 3 million views, and a new wave of tutorials started on 10 October 2026, the first of them passing a million views in two weeks.
The template runs in two steps: an image model puts the two meters above your own selfie, then a video model plays the count, your pleading and the reveal, with a ticking build-up and a dramatic original hit. Type angel or devil to choose the winner; leave it empty and the devil wins, like the most viral clips. You get an 8-second vertical clip with no watermark. The trend videos on this page are credited to their creators; the poster image is AI-generated.
Why the devil usually wins
The most viral clips are the ones where someone prays for the angel and the devil wins anyway. The pleading, the climbing numbers and the sudden red flash make the reveal funny, which is why the template ends with the devil unless you type angel.
Which photo to use
One adult, alone in the picture, chest up, face toward the camera and in good light. Your room, clothes and hair stay in the clip, so pick a selfie you like.
