What is the My Wife on November 1st AI Trend: The Christmas Lights Dash?
Every year the same joke comes back on the first day of November: "my wife the moment it hits November 1st". The husband stands in front of the camera, calm and a little tired, and behind him his wife, already in a Santa outfit or Christmas pajamas, races across the room with a string of Christmas lights. Upload your photo, add your partner if you like, and this template makes that clip with your own faces.
The format took off on 1 November 2025, when @andy.and.michelle posted it with his wife flying past in a Santa dress: 7.3 million views and 900,000 likes. On 1 November 2026 it came straight back. @thequistfamily posted "My wife every year on November 1st" that morning, with the husband at the fridge and his wife dashing across the doorway in red pajamas and antlers (1.5 million views), and the same night @jeffandsophia's "12:01 exactly" version passed 15.9 million views and 2.7 million likes. Within days the sound was in more than 50,000 videos.
The template runs in two steps: an image model sets up the shot, you deadpan in front and your partner mid-sprint behind you, then a video model plays 8 seconds of the dash with an original jingly beat. The trend videos on this page are credited to their creators; the poster image is AI-generated.
What happens in the video
0-3 s: you stand in front of the camera with a drink and a deadpan face. 3-5 s: your partner, in Christmas pajamas and antlers, sprints past behind you dragging a string of Christmas lights. 5-8 s: you look back, turn to the camera and stare, unimpressed.
Do I need a second photo?
No. With one photo the template invents a partner who runs past with the lights. With two photos, the person in the second photo becomes the one who cannot wait for Christmas.
Which photos to use
One clear photo per adult, face toward the camera, good light. Use your own photo and one of a partner or friend who said yes, never a celebrity, a stranger or a child.
