How the Photo studio works

Write what you want to see, add reference photos if you want the result to look like a real person, product or place, pick a model, resolution and shape, then press Generate. Photos usually arrive in 20 to 60 seconds and are saved to your Creations.

Z-Image (2 credits) is the cheapest way to try an idea. Nano Banana 2 is the everyday choice (10 credits at 1K). Nano Banana Pro (25+ credits) is slower but sharper, and keeps faces and text more consistent across several references.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Photo studio?

A free-form AI image tool. Describe the picture you want, optionally add up to five reference photos, and pick a model: Z-Image, Nano Banana 2 Lite, Imagen 4 Fast, Seedream 5.0 Lite, GPT Image 2.5, Nano Banana 2 or Nano Banana Pro.

How much does a photo cost?

Every run shows its price before you start. Z-Image costs 2 credits, Nano Banana 2 Lite and Imagen 4 Fast 5, Seedream 5.0 Lite 10, GPT Image 2.5 from 10, Nano Banana 2 10 to 25 and Nano Banana Pro 25 to 30. New accounts get free credits for photo runs, enough to try Z-Image, and failed runs are refunded automatically.

Which model should I pick?

Z-Image is the cheapest and fastest for drafts from text. Nano Banana 2 is the everyday all-rounder and handles edits with your photos well. GPT Image 2.5 is best for text inside images and precise edits, Seedream 5.0 Lite for photoreal portraits and products, and Nano Banana Pro for the most detail. Z-Image and Imagen 4 Fast create from text only, so they are hidden once you add a photo.

Can I edit my own photos?

Yes. Add one or more reference photos and describe the change, for example "put me in a rainy Tokyo street at night". With no photos it creates a new image from your text alone.

Which aspect ratios are supported?

Auto (keeps your photo's shape), 1:1, 9:16, 16:9, 4:5, 3:4, 4:3, 2:3, 3:2 and 21:9, so the result fits posts, Stories, Reels, TikTok and YouTube.

Where do my images go?

Finished images appear in Creations. Result files are kept for 14 days, so download anything you want to keep.
