What is the AI Window Dance Trend Video?
The window dance trend is the party follow-up to the window peeper meme: at night the camera flies across the street to the one lit window of a dark apartment block, where someone is dancing alone next to a little speaker. They notice the camera, grin, and pull the curtain shut. Upload one photo and this template puts you in that window.
The window came first. On 20 October 2026 the window peeper filter put people at a table eating a burger until they caught the camera. Two days later the same window got a party: on 22 October a UK account posted a template called "Window Dance", and its clip passed 1.1 million views. On 20 October another window dance clip had already passed 2.6 million, and by 24 October new versions were out in English and Spanish ("baile en la ventana"), one passing 480,000 views in a day.
The template runs in two steps: an image model puts you in the lit window next to the speaker, then a video model plays the fly-in, the dance, the caught grin and the curtain, with night-street sound and an original beat. You get an 8-second vertical clip with no watermark. The trend videos on this page are credited to their creators; the poster image is AI-generated.
Why the caught grin works
Dancing alone like nobody is watching is relatable, and the camera flying in from across the street makes the viewer the one who is watching. The moment you spot the lens and grin before the curtain closes is the punchline, which is why people loop the clip.
Which photo to use
One adult, alone in the picture, face clear and sharp, upper body or full body. Bright, even light on the face gives the most natural result in the window.
