What is the AI Missed Train Dance Trend Video?
The missed train dance is the commuter trend everyone has lived: you run down the station stairs, the doors close in your face, you drop to your knees in despair, then you get up and dance it off on the platform. Upload one photo of yourself and this template makes your own version.
The format comes from a dancer in Sydney who turns missed trains into dance videos. His clip from 5 May 2026 passed 10.3 million views and 1.5 million likes, and a new one on 7 October 2026 passed 9.8 million in under three weeks. In October the format went AI: one-photo templates put other people on the same platform, and a remake from 22 October passed 760,000 views in a few days. The joke works in any city, because everyone has watched a train leave without them.
The template runs in two steps: an image model puts you on the station stairs as the doors close, then a video model plays the sprint, the fall to your knees and the dance, with door beeps and an original beat. You get an 8-second vertical clip with no watermark. The trend videos on this page are credited to their creators; the poster image is AI-generated.
Why the drop to the knees works
Everyone knows the feeling of the doors closing one second too early. The over-the-top fall to the knees turns that into a joke, and the dance straight after is the release, which is why the clips get rewatched and shared.
Which photo to use
One adult, alone in the picture, standing, face clear, ideally with the legs in view. A photo in normal day clothes looks more like a real commute than a party photo.
