DALL-E was OpenAI's image model. Today image creation and editing are part of ChatGPT itself: you ask for an image in the chat, or upload a photo and describe the change.

OpenAI shut down Sora, so ChatGPT does not make videos as of 4 Oct 2026.

Is DALL-E still available?

OpenAI's image generation is now part of ChatGPT. You use it by asking ChatGPT for an image or uploading a photo to edit.

Can ChatGPT make videos?

Not as of 4 Oct 2026. OpenAI's help center says the Sora app ended on 26 April 2026 and the Sora API on 24 September 2026.
