What is the AI ATM Glitch Trend Video?
The ATM glitch trend is a wish dressed up as security footage. A grainy black-and-white camera in the corner of an ATM booth shows someone taking their cash, then the machine goes wild: a nonstop blast of bills knocks them over and they end up sitting in a carpet of money. Upload one photo and this template makes your version, CCTV look and all.
The first clip went up on Instagram on 6 October 2026 with the line "The only glitch I'm praying for this year", and for ten days it spread as reposts with that caption and its twins, "the only glitch I want" and "the only glitch we need". On 17 October Russian-speaking AI creators turned it into a one-photo template they call "Банкомат", ATM, and one remake passed 890,000 likes in a few days, with comments like "Mine" and "Where is this ATM?" in half a dozen languages. Cats at the ATM followed two days later.
The template runs in two steps: an image model builds the booth shot from your photo, then a video model plays the money burst with sound. You get an 8-second vertical clip with no watermark. The cash is a prop with no real banknote designs, and the machine has no bank name or logo. The trend videos on this page are credited to their creators; the poster image is AI-generated.
Why the CCTV look matters
The joke works because it looks like real security footage: grainy, black and white, from a high corner of the booth. The template keeps that camera on purpose. Everybody knows it is a wish, and the comments play along, but the footage look is what stops the scroll.
Not a real glitch
Fake ATM glitch videos have been passed off as real before. This template is a clearly made-up fun clip: the machine has no bank name, the bills are props, and nothing on screen claims to be real footage. Post it as the wish it is.
