# AI Twerk > One full-body photo becomes a playful 6-second twerk clip that ends in a laugh. - URL: https://soracai.com/ai-twerk - Type: video effect - Category: Dance (https://soracai.com/effects/dance) - Cost: 50 credits per run (packs from $4.99; pricing: https://soracai.com/pricing.md) - Inputs: Your photo – One adult, full body visible head to toe, standing - Time: 1–3 minutes - Watermark: none - Updated: 2026-10-04 ## What is the AI Twerk? The AI twerk template takes a full-body photo and turns it into a short, silly dance clip: the person turns a little to the side, drops into a bent-knee stance with hands on knees, bounces their hips to the beat, then turns back to the camera laughing. It is meant to be funny rather than provocative, and the prompt keeps the person fully clothed and the camera still. Twerk effects became one of the most searched AI video templates as photo-to-video apps spread in 2024 and 2025. The appeal is the surprise. Someone who would never do the move on camera, often a very serious-looking friend in a plain photo, suddenly breaks into it and cracks up at the end. The joke lands best on photos that look formal or ordinary: a person in a park, at the office, at a family event. This page runs the effect as a one-tap template, so there is no prompt to write and no reference video to find. Upload one full-body photo of an adult, press Generate, and in about one to three minutes you get a 6-second vertical clip with no watermark. The video is silent, so you can add whichever trending sound you want in your editor. Use it on yourself, or on adult friends who are happy to be the joke. It is not for photos of minors, and it should not be used to embarrass someone who did not agree. ## Keeping it playful The template is written to stay light. The prompt asks for a fully clothed person, a short dance move, and a laugh at the end, with a static camera and no close-ups. That keeps the result in comedy territory, which is how the effect is usually shared. The rules are short. Adults only: never upload a photo of a minor. Only use your own photo or one of an adult who agreed to it. Do not post it to embarrass, sexualize or harass anyone, and do not present it as real footage of a person who did not make it. If someone asks you to take a clip down, take it down, and treat a no as final before you ever post. ## How it differs from the AI dance generator The AI dance generator does an upbeat hip-hop routine that fits almost any song. This template is a single comedic move with a punchline at the end, built for meme-style posts. Both use the same image-to-video model and the same 6-second length, and both work best with a clean full-body photo. If you want a full named choreography instead, the style pages at /ai-dance copy moves from a reference dance video, which is the better route for matching a specific TikTok trend step for step. Start here if you just want the laugh; go there if you want the exact routine. ## How to use it 1. Open https://soracai.com/ai-twerk and upload a photo. 2. Press Generate (50 credits). 3. Download the MP4. ## Tips - Use a full-body photo, head to toe, of one person standing; cropped legs make the move look odd. - Plain clothes like joggers or jeans animate more cleanly than long dresses or coats. - A neutral pose with arms down gives the model room to bend the knees naturally. - Leave space around the person in the frame so the hips and hands stay in view. - Time the laugh at the end to the drop of your sound for the best comedic beat. ## Use cases - A comedic reaction clip for a group chat or birthday post, with the person's okay. - Meme content on trending dance sounds without filming anything. - A funny reveal in a before/after TikTok: serious photo first, twerk clip second. - Party invites or announcement videos for friends who are in on the joke. ## FAQ ### How do I make an AI twerk video? Upload one full-body photo of an adult and press Generate. You get a 6-second silent clip in about one to three minutes; add music in your editor afterward. ### Is the AI twerk generator free? It is a video template, so it uses paid credits. New accounts get free credits for photo templates only. The cost is shown on the Generate button before you confirm. ### Can I use a photo of my friend? Yes, if they are an adult and they agreed. Do not use it on people who did not consent, and never on photos of minors. ### Is the result explicit? No. The template keeps the person fully clothed and the tone comedic. It is a quick dance move and a laugh, not adult content. ### Why does my video look warped? Usually the photo is cropped, the person is sitting, or something covers the body. Try a full-body, front-facing photo with a simple background. ### Is there a watermark? No watermark is added to the video. ### Where are my photos stored? Uploads are stored in Firebase Storage (Google Cloud) under your account so the run can happen and the clip appears in Creations. They are not public, and you can email support to request deletion. To run the effect, a copy is sent to our AI model provider (kie.ai); result files are kept for 14 days, so download what you want to keep. ## Related effects - [AI Jean Phil Dance](https://soracai.com/ai-jean-phil-dance): You become the blond-bob, moustache, houndstooth meme character and do the deadpan alley dance. - [AI Dance Generator](https://soracai.com/ai-dance-generator): Upload one full-body photo and get a 6-second video of you dancing to the beat. - [AI Cat Dance](https://soracai.com/ai-cat-dance): Upload a photo of your cat and watch it stand up and dance to the beat for 6 seconds. - [AI Baby Dance](https://soracai.com/ai-baby-dance): Turn your own photo into a toddler version of you dancing in a short video. - [AI Inflate Effect](https://soracai.com/ai-inflate-effect): Puff up like a balloon and float out of the frame, from one photo. - [AI Squish Effect](https://soracai.com/ai-squish-effect): Giant hands squish your photo like soft dough, then it bounces back. - [AI Melt Effect](https://soracai.com/ai-melt-effect): Melt like a wax candle in the sun, in a dreamy six-second clip. - [AI Explode Effect](https://soracai.com/ai-explode-effect): Burst into a cloud of confetti and glitter, from one photo.
