The shaking head trend is the smug pet meme of late October 2026. An animal looks into the camera, squeezes its eyes shut in a satisfied little grin, shakes its head slowly like it knows exactly what you did, then snaps its eyes wide open and stares. Upload one photo of your pet and this template makes your own version. The trend took off on 19 October 2026 with a calf: eyes shut, a smug grin, a slow head shake, then a wide-eyed stare, under the caption "how ur hb looks at you after shutting off your Chromebook in a test". The clip passed 4.7 million views and 770,000 likes. Cats and dogs followed the next day, one cat clip passed 2.2 million views and another 650,000, and on 24 October the how-to videos started. Any caption works, as long as the pet looks like it is quietly judging you. The template uses your photo as the first frame, so your pet keeps its own face, fur and background, and a video model plays the closed-eye grin, the slow shake and the wide-eyed stare, with soft comic whooshes and a pop. You get an 8-second vertical clip with no watermark. The trend videos on this page are credited to their creators; the poster image is AI-generated. ## Why the smug head shake works A pet with its eyes shut and a little grin looks like it is judging you, and the slow head shake makes it a reaction to whatever the caption says. The sudden wide-eyed stare is the punchline, which is why people loop it. ## Which photo to use One animal, face toward the camera, eyes open, sharp and in good light. A close-up from the chest up gives the closest match to the trend clips. ## How to use it 1. Open https://soracai.com/ai-shaking-head-trend and upload a photo (Your pet's photo). 2. Press Generate (140 credits, shown on the button before you run it). 3. Wait one to three minutes; the result is also saved to My Creations. 4. Download the MP4 without a watermark. Failed runs are refunded automatically. ## Examples - Example result: https://soracai.com/media/templates/ai-shaking-head-trend/poster.avif ## This trend on Instagram & TikTok - @melvdih (Trend video), TikTok, 2026-10-19: The smug calf that started the shaking head trend. 4,700,000 views, 770,900 likes. Use that photo: the grin comes out stronger. ## Use cases - Your pet's own shaking head clip for TikTok, Reels and Shorts. - A reaction video for a group chat: "how I look at you after ...". - A pet account post that rides the trend while it is hot. ## FAQ ### How do I make the shaking head trend with AI? Upload one clear photo of your pet and press Generate. You get an 8-second clip of your pet shutting its eyes in a smug grin, shaking its head slowly and then staring wide-eyed. ### Is it free? Video templates use paid credits. New accounts get free credits for photo templates only. The exact cost is shown on the Generate button before you confirm. ### Which animals work? Cats, dogs, rabbits, calves and most pets with a clear face. One animal per photo works best. ### Does the video have the song from the trend? No. The clip has soft original comic sounds. Add the trending sound yourself in TikTok or CapCut. ### Is this affiliated with the creators of the trend? No. Soracai is not affiliated with TikTok, CapCut or any of the creators of the shaking head clips. The template makes its own scene from your pet's photo. ### Is there a watermark? No watermark is added to the video. ### Where is my photo stored? Uploads are stored in Firebase Storage (Google Cloud) under your account so the run can happen and the result appears in Creations.
