The seal filter turns your dog or cat into a seal, sort of: the head, face and fur stay your pet's own, but the body becomes a round, chubby seal with flippers and a tail. Posted with the line "Trying the seal filter", the clips fill up with comments saying "I don't need the filter", because many pets already look a bit like seals. Upload one photo of your pet and this template makes the clip, no filter app needed. It started as a one-photo AI template in a popular video editing app in June 2026. A black puppy on a garden chair passed 260,000 views on 11 June, and on 6 July an American bulldog took it big: 1.8 million views. Cat versions followed in July, one passing 860,000 views. In October a newer version of the template brought a second wave to US feeds, with dogs at 400,000 views on 18 October and new clips every day since. The template runs in one step: a video model morphs your pet's body into a seal while keeping its face and fur, then lets it flop and wiggle with an original playful tune. You get an 8-second vertical clip with no watermark. The trend videos on this page are credited to their creators; the poster image is AI-generated. ## Why the seal filter works The pet stays completely recognisable, the same eyes and fur, which is why the chubby seal body is so funny. Labs, dachshunds, bulldogs and round cats look like they were meant to be seals all along. ## Which photo to use One pet, alone in the picture, whole body in view, sitting or lying still, in focus and in daylight with its eyes open. The face stays your pet's own, so a sharp face matters most. ## How to use it 1. Open https://soracai.com/ai-seal-filter and upload a photo (Your pet's photo). 2. Press Generate (140 credits, shown on the button before you run it). 3. Wait one to three minutes; the result is also saved to My Creations. 4. Download the MP4 without a watermark. Failed runs are refunded automatically. ## Examples - Example result: https://soracai.com/media/templates/ai-seal-filter/poster.avif ## This trend on Instagram & TikTok - @staciepeters3 (Trend video), TikTok, 2026-07-06: The bulldog seal: 1.8M. 1,800,000 views, 84,400 likes. Upload one clear photo of your pet and press Generate. You get an 8-second clip where your pet's body turns into a chubby seal with flippers while its face and fur stay its own. ### Is it free? Video templates use paid credits. New accounts get free credits for photo templates only. The exact cost is shown on the Generate button before you confirm. ### Is the seal filter a camera filter? No. In the trend it is a one-photo AI template, not a live filter, and this page works the same way: one photo in, a seal video out, no app needed. ### Does it work on cats? Yes. Dogs, cats and rabbits all work. Round, smooth-coated pets look the most like seals. ### Is this affiliated with TikTok or CapCut? No. Soracai is not affiliated with TikTok, CapCut or the creators of the trend clips. The template makes its own video from your photo. ### Is there a watermark? No watermark is added to the video. ### Where is my photo stored? Uploads are stored in Firebase Storage (Google Cloud) under your account so the run can happen and the result appears in Creations. They are not public, and you can email support to request deletion. To run the effect, a copy is sent to our AI model provider (kie.ai); result files are kept for 14 days, so download what you want to keep. ## Related effects - [AI Shaking Head Trend Video](https://soracai.com/ai-shaking-head-trend): Your pet squeezes its eyes shut in a smug little grin, shakes its head slowly like it knows exactly what you did, then snaps its eyes open and stares: the shaking head trend from one photo. - [AI Parrot Dance Generator: Your Pet Leads the Flock](https://soracai.com/ai-parrot-dance): A barn full of green parrots in little white diapers dances in sync, and your own pet steps up to the camera as the lead dancer: the viral parrot dance with your bird, dog or cat in front. - [AI Kung Fu Cat Trend Video](https://soracai.com/ai-kung-fu-cat): Your cat sits upright on a lap like a martial arts master, blocks, strikes and karate-chops a paper tissue clean in half: the viral kung fu cat from one photo of your own cat. - [Passenger Princess AI: The Off Duty Road Trip Clip](https://soracai.com/ai-passenger-princess): The passenger princess sips an iced drink, hands it to the driver, takes the neck pillow, puts on her sunglasses and leans back while the driver smiles to himself: the viral off duty clip with your pets or the two of you. - [AI Pets Making Coffee Generator: Your Pets Run the Kitchen](https://soracai.com/ai-pets-making-coffee): Upload a photo of your pet (and a second one if you like) and they make coffee at the kitchen counter, until one knocks the milk over and both look innocent. - [AI Dog Dance Crew Generator: Your Dog Leads the Squad](https://soracai.com/ai-dog-dance-crew): Your dog leads a crew of four on a dark stage with a mirror floor, standing up on its back legs and dancing in perfect sync with a Dalmatian, a bulldog and a husky: the viral dog dance crew with your own pet. - [AI Fruit Story Video: Become a Fruit Person](https://soracai.com/ai-fruit-story): One photo turns you into a fruit person with your own face, hair and clothes, starring in a dramatic fruit soap-opera scene with a narrator, the AI fruit drama genre with billions of views. - [AI Giant Cat Ride](https://soracai.com/ai-giant-cat-ride): Unlock a horse-sized saddled cat from a city bike-share dock, climb on and ride it down the street.
