## What is the AI Flying Car Fail Video?

The AI flying car fail is the "first day driving it" joke of the flying car trend. Your car tries to hop over the traffic, gets the height completely wrong and ends up parked on top of the motorway sign. Upload a photo of your car and you get a handheld phone clip filmed through the windshield of the car behind on a sunny highway. Your car puffs out white vapour, lifts off, keeps rising, wobbles, drifts sideways and settles gently on top of the big green overhead sign, front wheels hanging over the edge. Nothing breaks and nobody is hurt; the traffic underneath just keeps going while your passenger can't stop laughing.

Also known as the Tesla Roadster fail, "my first day driving the flying car" or the "please fix this bug" meme. The top clip of the format passed 2.3 million views and 370,000 likes on 16 October 2026, and two more versions passed a million each the same day.

The template runs in two steps: an image model places your own car on the highway, then a video model plays the fail with sound. The clip is 8 seconds, vertical and watermark-free. It is slapstick, with a soft landing and no crash. The trend videos on this page are credited to their creators; the poster image is AI-generated.

## A fail, not a crash

Some flying car clips end in a crash. This template keeps the joke and drops the damage: the car overshoots and lands softly on top of the sign, perfectly balanced, and everyone is fine. That keeps it shareable anywhere, from family group chats to brand pages.

## Tips

- Use a clear photo of your whole car from the back or side; that is the angle the camera sees.
- Caption it with the excuse: "first day with the new car" or "the update is still in beta".
- Each run is a new take; try again if the car lands somewhere less funny.

## Use cases

- A "new driver" or "new car" joke with your own car.
- A friendly roast for a friend who just passed their test.
- A fun post for a driving school or a car club.

## FAQ

### How do I make the flying car fail video?

Upload a photo of your car and press Generate. The template puts your car on a highway and plays the overshoot onto the overhead sign.

### Is it free?

Video templates use paid credits. New accounts get free credits for photo templates only. The exact cost is shown on the Generate button before you confirm.

### Is this the Tesla Roadster fail meme?

It is the same "first day driving it" joke that went viral under the Tesla Roadster and flying car hashtags, with your own car instead.

### Is this made by or affiliated with Tesla?

No. Soracai is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by Tesla. "Tesla Roadster" is named only because that is what people search for this trend. The template animates your own car and adds no logos or badges.

### Does anyone get hurt in the video?

No. The car lands gently on top of the sign, nothing breaks, and the traffic below carries on.

### Is there a watermark?

No watermark is added to the video.

### Where is my photo stored?

Uploads are stored in Firebase Storage (Google Cloud) under your account so the run can happen and the result appears in Creations. They are not public, and you can email support to request deletion. To run the effect, a copy is sent to our AI model provider (kie.ai); result files are kept for 14 days, so download what you want to keep.
