## What is the Airplane Flying Over Head AI?

The airplane over head AI template puts you under the landing path at the best moment of the day. Your photo becomes a low-angle phone shot at golden dusk: you sit on the guardrail of an airport viewing deck next to the runway approach, smiling at the camera, with a wide orange-pink sky above you. Then a huge white passenger jet comes in from behind the camera and glides impossibly low, right over your head. Its belly, engines and landing gear fill the sky, the landing lights glow, the wind catches your hair and clothes, and you look up in awe, wave at the plane and laugh at the camera as it passes.

The plane trend spread on TikTok and CapCut in early October 2026. The most-viewed clip passed 4.9 million views and half a million likes, a matching CapCut template passed 300,000 uses, and tutorials in Russian, Spanish, Filipino and Burmese each passed 800,000 views. Tags like #planetrend and #airplanetrend are in the millions.

Here it takes two steps: an image model builds the viewing-deck scene from your photo, then a video model brings the jet in with a deafening roar and wind. The clip is 5 seconds, vertical, with no airline logos and no watermark. It is a fantasy shot; real aircraft never fly this low over people.

## Safe and fictional

Real plane-spotting spots can be dangerous, and no real airliner passes this close to people. The template keeps everything fictional: a generic white jet with no airline markings and a viewing deck that is not a real airport. Post it as an AI edit and enjoy the shot without going near a runway.

## Framing

The start frame is shot from low down with lots of sky, which leaves room for the plane to fill the top of the picture. That is why the template rebuilds your photo into this angle instead of animating it as it is: a normal eye-level photo leaves no space for the jet.

## How to use it

1. Open https://soracai.com/ai-airplane-over-head and upload a photo (Your photo).
2. Press Generate (140 credits, shown on the button before you run it).
3. Wait one to three minutes; the result is also saved to My Creations.
4. Download the MP4 without a watermark. Failed runs are refunded automatically.

## Tips

- A full or half body photo works best so you can sit naturally on the guardrail.
- Photos with warm or soft light blend best into the dusk sky.
- Wear something light in the photo; the wind from the jet shows more on loose clothes and hair.
- Pair it with the trending plane sound, or keep the generated jet roar.
- Run it twice; the plane's angle and size change between takes.

## Use cases

- A travel or holiday countdown post.
- Joining the plane trend without standing near a real runway.
- A fun clip for aviation fans or a pilot friend (with their photo and permission).

## FAQ

### How do I make the airplane over head video?

Upload one photo of yourself and press Generate. The template builds the airport viewing deck at dusk and animates the jet passing over you.

### Is it free?

Video templates use paid credits. New accounts get free credits for photo templates only. The exact cost is shown on the Generate button before you confirm.

### Is this the CapCut airplane trend?

It follows the same idea (a giant plane passing just over your head) but is generated from your photo here, with no editing needed.

### Does it show a real airline?

No. The jet is generic and plain white, with no airline logos.

### Does the video have sound?

Yes, a deafening jet roar and wind. You can mute it and add the trending sound.

### Is there a watermark?

No watermark is added to the video.

### Where is my photo stored?

Uploads are stored in Firebase Storage (Google Cloud) under your account so the run can happen and the result appears in Creations. They are not public, and you can email support to request deletion. To run the effect, a copy is sent to our AI model provider (kie.ai); result files are kept for 14 days, so download what you want to keep.
